Dear Parents and Students,
I hope that you and your families are all well and have come through the Corona Crisis unscathed so far.
The government has now given the date (July 25th) for dance studios to be able to reopen for classes. This is, of course, when schools and academies close for the summer. This means that our use of PACA Dance Studio is not presently an option. Also, Brighton and Hove Council are not opening Portslade Town Hall to the public at the moment. I am waiting for a response from them.
Hopefully we can be back to ‘normal’ in September. We all realise that it will be a different ‘normal’ in that strict guidelines will need to be observed. I will inform you of necessary procedures and rules in due course, and of any developments in studio availability.
In the meantime keep up your dance practise and fitness programmes. It has been a very frustrating time for us all, but I hope to see you ready for action in the not too distant future.
With very best wishes,
Sheila, Trudy, and Emma.
Regretfully, because of the corona virus crisis, I have made the decision to postpone all dance classes until it is safe to resume.
Classes at PACA today and tomorrow are as usual, but there will be no Saturday classes at Portslade Town Hall this Saturday (21st March).
The health and safety of everyone’s families is paramount. Sadly, this is the only course of action.
Our exam session on April 4th is postponed. All the exam candidates have been preparing and working hard so it is especially sad for them.
I hope you will keep up your practise, remember exercises, and learn theory so you will be brilliant when we can start dancing again.
All exam fees will be held over, and the classes and lessons already paid for will be credited when we restart.
In the meantime, my best wish is for everyone to keep safe and well.
From Norma Tiltman, Emma, Trudy and myself “Keep Dancing!”
Portslade School of Dancing
Regretfully, due to the present health crisis, Adult classes at The Portslade School of Dancing are suspended until further notice.
Mondays – Advanced Tap 8 -8.45 pm
Tuesdays – Adult Tap 7 – 8 pm
Wednesdays – Adult Tap 6.15 – 7 pm
Wednesdays – Advanced Ballet 7 – 8 pm
At the moment I presume that scheduled exams on April 4th are going ahead so candidates can still attend lessons.
If, as a family, you do not want your child to attend classes I quite understand. Please let me know if that is the case.
All previously paid for lessons will be held over until things are back to normal.
Please look for emails and check this web site in case the situation changes.
Best wishes and keep well,
