Emma Gogan conducts these classes with a combination of strengthening, stretching, and loosening exercises. Dancers need to possess core stability for every discipline: ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, and tap. Dance movements vary from lyrical to staccato, sustained to speedy, floor work and elevated jumps. All these need control using the steel-like strength that enables dancers to perform their art with what looks like effortless ease.
Flexibility is a highly desirable quality. With knowledgeable instruction and careful guidance most students can achieve more height of leg and increase their degree of turn-out.
Emma’s classes are enhanced by contemporary dance movements and sequences which make for a balanced, beneficial, and most enjoyable class.
